Yesterday Benjamin's hit his 28week mark and tomorrow he will be 3 weeks old. Today was a great day for Benjamin. He is doing so good after getting on antibiotics and they talked more about trying to take him off the ventilator soon, possibly as early as tomorrow (!!!), but I am not holding my breath (no pun intended). Also, he had the follow up ultrasound on his brain and the bleeding has decreased and the doctor was not very concerned about the clots!!!! Thank you God! I am so amazed at his improvements in the past 3 days. Today was another 2 steps forward day. He also increased his feedings to 3 mL per hour, which is also very good and he did not need morphine to my knowledge today. He had his eyes open more than ever before today, which still was not very much, but it sure is fun to see them open some. I am doing much better as well.
